We thought it would be a good idea to talk about our logo. It has a life of it’s own now and it sometimes feels like it found us rather than the other way round. Arriving at the end result took 4 months of tears, tantrums and sulking, mostly by me admittedly. You are asking for that, especially when working on your own logo. Because of the 50/50 split of designers and developers in the office it came apparent that we needed to please both sides. The result of this was a logo that needed to be universal, global and mean something different depending on the individual. Above all else represent who we are as a company.
This global icon seemed a long way off at the beginning. Maybe the pressure of creating an iconic brand for ourselves was too great.
What did happen however is that we were able to look at the project from a completely different angle by having everyone involved in the process.
We will add to this post with some early sketches and ideas over the next couple of weeks.
